Welcome!

My unique perspective on needlepoint comes from my background in Mathematics, and a 33+ year career as a computer programmer.

Although needlepoint is an ancient art form, it lends itself well to the latest in computer design techniques. Indeed, you can think of a needlepoint as a very low-resolution image that takes a year to render. But, once rendered, the resulting image is very durable.

Penrose tilings, Pentomino puzzles and Fractals are the main themes of most of my projects. This site explores each of these themes further, and the collection of my needlepoint pieces can be seen in the Gallery. I did my first needlepoint project in 1982, but most of the pieces you will see here in my site were done in the last ten years.

There is also a small download section, where you can get some of the design images, as well as one of my fractal design tools.

Enjoy your visit, and please contact me if you have comments or queries.
