This is my second attempt at
turning a picture into a needlepoint.
I admire dragonflys. They are very good at flying. Each of the four
wings moves independently, and they can hover, evade birds, or fly
60 mph. They are also a very successful life-form, and have not
changed much since before the time of the dinosaurs.
This project was my first use of some image processing programs I have
been working on. As with the Man with the Golden Helmet, the main effort
was reducing the number of colors down to a manageable number while
retaining image quality. I ended up with ten colors. Two greens, four
browns, two grays, red, and black.
